Woodturning Pens

During the workshop, you will learn about the construction of a wood lathe and the principles of safe operation. You will learn how to use turning chisels, abrasives, and polishing materials to prepare the surface of the pen or fountain pen you create. You will also learn how to choose the right wood for turning, how to use ready-made metal components in the pen-making process, and how to apply various finishing methods to your final products.

Program

The one-day woodturning course for making wooden fountain pens and ballpoint pens includes hands-on training in operating a lathe and the principles of selecting and mounting wooden components. During the course, you will learn to work with turning chisels and choose the appropriate cutting parameters. You will become familiar with abrasive and polishing materials, learn how to apply a finish, and polish it to a high gloss.

During the course, we provide a protective apron and face shield.

Please wear comfortable clothing and sturdy closed-toe shoes.

Weekend courses start at 9:00 AM, and weekday courses begin at 2:00 PM.
