Out of Love for Wood
Craftsmanship and working with wood have always fascinated me. Traditional woodworking has something majestic about it; it teaches perseverance, humility, and develops imagination. Working with hand tools provides immense satisfaction and a sense of agency. It also evokes a feeling of connection with the craftsmen of the past. I admire their knowledge and skills, thanks to which – working exclusively with hand tools – they created beautiful and durable wooden furniture.

Tomisław Bensari
Polish designer and master woodworker, founder and chief craftsman of the design studio Bensari Ébénistes and the woodworking workshop Bensari Workshop. A passionate advocate of traditional woodworking techniques. A renowned creator of collectible furniture, represented by the New York art gallery STUDIOTWENTYSEVEN.
The only Polish co-author of the prestigious magazine Fine Woodworking, dedicated to traditional woodworking techniques. Finalist of the Dobry Wzór 2024 competition. His works have been featured in numerous industry publications: Elle Decoration France, Design Alive, Label Magazine, White Mad, Salon Polityki, Furniture & Cabinetmaking.
By education, a lawyer, and for many years the CEO of the largest Polish companies specializing in pharmaceutical distribution.
