Publication in Furniture & Cabinetmaking magazine

Rzeźbiarska drewniana komoda autorstwa Tom Bensari z giętymi formami i frontami z naturalnego forniru, prezentowana w artykule magazynu Furniture & Cabinetmaking o twórczości i drodze zawodowej rzemieślnika.

My work and professional journey have been featured in the international trade magazine Furniture & Cabinetmaking in an article dedicated to contemporary furniture craftsmanship. This is an important recognition for me, as the magazine has long documented the highest level of fine woodworking and craftsmanship worldwide.

In the publication, I talk about my path from a managerial career to craftsmanship, and why I consciously chose to work within a model that combines design and making. I believe that full responsibility for an object only emerges when the designer understands the material and technological process, and the maker understands the design intent.

The article also presents my approach to working with wood: respect for the material, the use of traditional woodworking techniques, working with hand tools, and inspirations drawn from modernism and architecture. An important part of the publication is also the educational activity of Bensari Workshop. It is a place where I pass on craftsmanship knowledge and teach others a conscious approach to working with wood.

Being featured in an international trade magazine confirms for me that craftsmanship rooted in quality, knowledge, and consistency remains relevant and needed in the contemporary design world.
