Discover traditional craftsmanship and learn woodworking in a real furniture workshop in Wrocław, Poland.
At Bensari Workshop we offer hands-on woodworking courses designed both for people beginning their journey with hand tools and for those who already have some experience working with wood.
Our courses focus on traditional woodworking techniques used in everyday furniture making. Participants learn directly at the workbench in a professional woodworking studio where we design and build furniture for collectors, interior designers and fine art galleries.
The workshops are highly practical. During the courses we share the knowledge, tools and working methods we use daily in our studio.
All courses take place in a fully equipped woodworking workshop. Everything participants need is available on site, including tools, materials and safety equipment. We also provide coffee, tea and fresh fruit during the workshops.
Participants can receive a personalised certificate confirming completion of the course.
Bensari Workshop is registered in the Polish Database of Development Services (BUR), which allows eligible participants to apply for training funding through the National Training Fund (KFS).

Woodworking from Scratch
One-Day Carpentry Course: Woodworking Basics. A one-day woodworking course covering the fundamentals of carpentry. During the course, you’ll get hands-on experience with essential hand tools such as saws, planes, and chisels. You’ll learn about their structure, uses, safety principles, and—most importantly—how to use them effectively by crafting your own wooden knife stand.
Weekend courses start at 9:00 AM, while weekday sessions begin at 2:00 PM.
The course lasts 1 day, approximately 7 to 8 hours.

Mortise and Tenon Joints
Mortise and Tenon – Two-Day Carpentry Course. A two-day woodworking course focused on mortise and tenon joints. During the course, participants will independently create a traditional cutting board — without the use of glue — built entirely using mortise and tenon joints, along with drawbore pins that reinforce the entire structure.

Learning to Use a Hand Plane
One-Day Course: Learning to Use a Hand Plane. A one-day course dedicated to mastering the use of hand planes. During the session, you’ll learn proper hand tool techniques that allow you to achieve a smooth, even wood surface quickly and effortlessly. You’ll also discover how to plan the flattening process and how to properly prepare your tools — including the hand plane and scraper.
Weekend courses start at 9:00 AM, and weekday sessions begin at 2:00 PM.

Dovetail Joints – Two-Day Carpentry Course. A two-day woodworking course focused on crafting dovetail joints. During the workshop, you’ll learn how to create one of the most essential and time-tested joinery methods — known for providing lifetime durability when done correctly. You’ll gain hands-on experience in cutting precise dovetails and learn the key details to watch for during assembly to ensure your project is both strong and visually refined.

Hammer veneering
Veneering and Steam-Bending – Two-Day Carpentry Course. A two-day woodworking course focused on veneering and steam-bending techniques. Veneering is a nearly forgotten craft that requires skill and precision but offers incredible decorative possibilities in return. During the course, you’ll learn how to work with hide glues, prepare veneer sheets, and use steam to bend wood into elegant, curved shapes.
You’ll put these skills into practice by crafting and veneering a decorative wooden tray with curved elements formed using steam.

Woodturning Pens
Pen Turning – One-Day Carpentry Course. A one-day woodworking course focused on turning pens and pencils from wood. During the workshop, you’ll get familiar with the structure and safe operation of a wood lathe. You’ll learn how to use turning chisels, as well as sanding and polishing materials essential for fine finishing.
Each participant will create their own wooden pen or pencil, using pre-made metal components.
