Welcome to the blog!

Welcome to our blog!

For those who are new here – my name is Tom Bensari. I am a master carpenter and designer, running a design studio and woodworking workshop in Wrocław. I specialize in traditional woodworking, and my passion is working with hand tools. For several years, I have been running woodworking courses where I teach both amateurs and professionals who want to gain new skills in working with wood.

When I began my journey with traditional woodworking, I lacked knowledge in this area. Woodworking courses for amateurs did not exist. The ongoing decline of craft education and the generational exchange—or rather the lack of it—meant I had no one to learn from or exchange experiences with.
I gathered professional literature, attended foreign woodworking courses, and sought knowledge—mainly on the Internet. Through trial and error, I developed solutions that were obvious to craftsmen of the past.

Today, I run my own woodworking workshop and share this knowledge during woodworking workshops to showcase the beauty of the craft and the possibilities offered by working with hand tools. I am a member of the Lower Silesian Chamber of Crafts, have earned both journeyman and master titles, and hold teaching qualifications to best pass on my knowledge to others.

I am a practitioner, so the woodworking courses I organize are also very practical in nature. I teach the same methods I use myself when creating furniture and wooden objects.

So far, I have focused on creating video content—check out my profiles on social media—but I am increasingly noticing the need to provide reliable knowledge about hand woodworking in written form. On the Polish Internet, you will come across many self-taught specialists who often repeat—often incorrect—information about woodworking, tools, and techniques. Only a small portion of these people work with wood daily, and even fewer achieve success in this field.

Here, we will be posting materials dedicated to traditional woodworking, working with hand tools, various woodworking techniques, and reliable sources of knowledge that will allow you to deepen your interests on your own.

See you soon!
